Southend United suspend Jemal Johnson

The Shrimpers have released a statement confirming that the former Milton Keynes Dons winger has been placed under suspension and will not train or play for the club for a fortnight.

The official website has released the following statement regarding JJ who was released on bail until January following an incident at an Ilford nightclub:

Southend United can confirm that midfielder Jemal Johnson has been suspended until further notice for a maximum period of 14 days.The player's suspension is pending a full review into his conduct following his arrest last month outside a nightclub in Ilford.The player will not be considered for selection or take part in training whilst the review is under way.No further comment will be made at this moment.
