Both managers had their say after the Shrimpers extra-time win over Championship Bristol city in the Carling Cup first round at Roots Hall Tuesday evening. Sturrock: 'I'm very pleased for everyone at the football club'The Shrimpers 3-2 win over Championship Bristol City in the Carling Cup was thanks to a Matt Paterson brace and a Barry Corry 88th minute equaliser that sent the match into extra-time, but after the game Blues boss Paul Sturrock only wanted to talk about his victorious side.Sturrock told Blues Player: "I'm pleased for the players, we showed tonight we are a squad, and not just a team. There were lots of players who did not let us down. I'm very pleased for everyone at the football club. The boys did all the right things, including Barry Corr's first goal. I don't want to single out anybody it was a great squad performance." Coppell:Meanwhile, Robins boss Steve Coppell thanked the 307 Bristol City fans who made the trip to south-east Essex but also had words to say about his team.Coppell told www.bcfc.co.uk: "Twice we led and we looked really good for 20-25 minutes. Jamie (McAllister)scored a great goal from the free-kick and we had further chances. Then they changed their formation to match us up. They made it more difficult for us but having the initiative twice I thought we should have been more robust to see it out."The former England and Manchester United winger went on to talk about the game and his side's reaction after the defeat.Coppell continued: "At 1-1 at half-time it could have gone either way. To score late on and then hand the momentum to them (with another equaliser) it was going to be hard for us. I've got a dressing room of heartbroken players again becuase we wanted to kick-start our season. it was physically very demanding for us and it's 120 minutes when we are struggling for players."
