Southend United's Scottish born skipper Craig Easton wants to celebrate Burns Night with a long awaited home victory over Macclesfield Town at Roots Hall Tuesday evening. Easton: 'I had my Burns supper on Saturday' The Shrimpers Scottish clan includes skipper Craig Easton but he's more concerned about three points against the Silkmen on Burn's Night Tuesday than having a dram; well, maybe after! Easton told www.echo-news.co.uk: "There would be no better way for me to mark Burns Night than with three points and then maybe a whisky afterwards as well. I had my Burns supper on Saturday and it was an excellent night but it would great to extend the celebrations with a win over Macclesfield."The club have joined in the celebration of the life of poet Robbie Burns by offering anyone who turns up to the ticket office before the game wearing a kilt will receive a 50% discount.Easton continued: "I think it's great the club have agreed to join in with the fun and it would be good to see some of our fans in kilts. But I won't be wearing one because I don't actually have a kilt. I know everyone in England thinks that's all Scottish people wear and we only eat haggis but that isn't actually true!" It isn't, you learn something new every day. However, back to the League Two clash, and after Bilel Mohsni's stoppage time equaliser against Bury last week, confidence is high as the Shrimpers chase their first Roots Hall victory for three months!Captain Craig concluded: "Scoring late like we did to equalise against Bury on Friday gave us all a lift and now we want to build on that by beating Macclesfield."
