Southend United sign Swindon Town midfielder Michael Timlin on a month's loan in time for Morecambe
Blues boss Paul Sturrock has moved fast to fill the gap caused by the injury to skipper Craig Easton by signing fellow midfielder Michael Timlin on a month's loan from Swindon Town. Michael Timlin: Joining the ex-Robins at Roots Hall The Shrimpers have signed midfielder Michael Timlin on loan for a month from Swindon Town to replace the loss of captain Craig Easton, who will be out with a hamstring injury for a similar amount of time. So along with Craig himself, Michael will be joining Rhys Evans, Sofi Zaaboub, Barry Corr and Blair Sturrock as former Swindon players at Southend all signed by Blues boss Paul Sturrock previously, and having been team mates with the latter three.
