Southend United sign Miguel Comminges from Cardiff City
The Shrimpers have completed the first signing of the new transfer window with defender Miguel Comminges joining on a free transfer, subject to international clearance being received. Miguel Comminges; another Luggy player from his Swindon daysThe Guadeloupian*, say that after a few beers, has signed for the Shrimpers on a free transfer after being released by Championship Cardiff City.Comminges, 28, can play at full-back, left or right, and slot into midfield as well, a possible replacement for Josh Simpson there, and hopefully not Anthony Grant!He knows Blues boss Paul Sturrock from Luggy's time as manager of Swindon Town, nothing new there, and after opting to quit the Wiltshire Robins went on to play 31 times for Cardiff.Miguel was loaned out to Carlisle the end of November, making only one appearance as the weather took it's toll on the League fixture list.
