'I gave Southend good service and this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth' Tilly: 'I can't move on until things are sorted here'Oh dear! Just when you thought it was safe to support Southend again, former boss and all-round Shrimpers legend Steve Tilson has been quoted in the Sun newspaper. And it's not good!It looks as if while Uncle Ron has been spending Sainsbury's money on everything and everybody to keep the club in business, the chairman has forgotten about the man he sent on gardening leave last month and brought the team such success by not giving him a penny. As Tilly puts it himself: "I gave Southend good service and this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth."Oh dear.Southend have released an official statement on the club website promising another statement on the matter soon! However, it will not surprise anyone to hear that lawyers are now involved."Both Steve Tilson and the Club have instructed lawyers to deal with the settlement of the contractual arrangements following his departure. It is in the interests of both the club and Steve Tilson to settle matters as soon as possible."Oh dearer! The full Sun article is here:www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/league_two/3103685/Tilson-still-waiting-for-his-money.htmlThe full club statement is here:www.southendunited.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10444~2128903,00.html
