Southend United draw Gillingham in JPT First Round
At least we're at home! It's another game against our friends from Kent as we play the Gills in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy w/c August 30th. The Shrimpers will face Gillingham once again following from two league games last season and this, and the FA Cup first round last November, this time the opening round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.The regionalised draw allowed several teams in the South and North to be given byes into round two.The matches will be played w/c agust 20, but like thecarling Cup matches the betting would be on Tuesday, August 31st at 19.45, though full details including ticket prices will be confirmed shortly.
