Southend United v Lincoln City: Former boss Steve Tilson, now with the Imps of Lincoln City, has been accused of telling porkies after a club statement. Club accuse Tilly of telling porkiesAnd it goes on, we will talk about the actual game sometime before Saturday!Anyway, after ex-boss Steve Tilson, now manager at Saturday's opponents Lincoln City and doing rather well, has accused his former club of not paying the dosh that he believes they owe him.Not so says the club, and they've released an official statement to tell their side of the story! www.southendunited.co.uk posted:'Southend United refute the alligations and claims made by Steve Tilson. The accusation that there has been no dialogue between the two parties is categorically not true. What is correct is any communication between Steve Tilson or his representatives have been responded to in a quick and timely manner. In addition there has been no communication whatsoever from either Steve Tilson or his representative since last year, until yesterday (Wednesday) when a letter received by the Club's lawyers will be dealt with accordingly.Notwithstanding we can confirm Steve Tilson's wages up until the point he chose to become manager of Lincoln City up-to-date.'So is Tilly saying he is owed money to the end of his last contract, he was sent on 'gardening leave' with a promise the club would continue to pay him, but Uncle Ron is saying; sorry mate, the Imps employed you, they can pay you?  And why did Tilly chase this up now, 48 hours before such an emotional clash? Doubtful Ron will even be at Sincil Bank at the weekend, but I suppose CEO Tara Brady might be.Very starnge all of it, but hopefully S24 can return to normal service after such a extraordinary day of stories involving the Shrimpers.Pub Crawl anyone? I need a drink!
