West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Peterborough United & the Bulls of Hereford United. Another tweet, another story that Kane Ferdinand will take some part in the opening fixture against Hereford United Saturday afternoon, possibily starting on the bench. Kane Ferdinand: not seen at Canvey after all, and who can blame him! According to Echoman Chris Phillips the club have confirmed there has been no follow up to the early interest from various clubs in young midfielder Kane Ferdinand, Championship club Peterborough United did say they were just monitoring the situation, but there might have been an offer or two from other teams with both West Ham and Ipswich Town linked with the player. Kane has now returned from Romania after just seeing 35 minutes of action for the young Irish coming on as a sub, unused in the fianl two, for his country's four games in the European Under-19 championships which ended in the semi-final with defeat to Spain. After not getting back for the last pre-season friendly against Canvey Island Satyrday, a bore draw that remained goalless, there might be a behing closed door game arranged for Kane, but more likely some heavy training. Wouldn't be surprised if he, along with new striker Liam Dickinson who Blues boss Paul Sturrock said has not reached full fitness yet after his debut against the Gulls, returns to start another match, against the Bulls this Saturday in the League Two opener, on the bench. The final between the Spanish and the Czech Republic will be take place today with the game live on Eurosport.
