Blues loanee midfielder Josh Simpson already wants to extend his stay as a Shrimper and after his best game for the club against Rotherham Saturday would like it to be in the middle! Simpson: Midfielder Josh Simpson, who is on loan from League One Peterborough until January, has made it clear last month he would like to stay a Shrimper andhe would would like it even more if Blues boss Paul Sturrock keeps him in central midfield. But first, he was just happy with the three points after Southend's 1-0 victory over the not so merry Millers Saturday afternooon and looks forward to a repeat result over the Robins of Cheltenham Tuesday evening.Simpson told Blues Player: "It was an important win and we'll hopefully carry that on to Tuesday and get another win there. I've played more of a central role Saturday, which is my preferred position and I'm pleased that I set up Blair (Sturrock) for the goal but more importamntly that we got the three points." Simpson told www.southendunited.co.uk: "It's still probably too early to know exactly what might happen because it's only really been five or six weeks but at the moment I just want to keep on playing games and putting in good performances to get us up the league. Then come November or December time we will have to see where my future lies but I would be interested in staying because I'm enjoying getting games again." However, Simmo knows he has take very game as it comes along for now, and that means bottom-of-the-table Morcambe Saturday afternoon at Roots Hall.
