Southend United winger Ryan Hall was the only player that took part in the 2-2 draw with Northampton Town last Saturday that made the npower League Two Team of the last Week. Ryan Hall; selected once again in the League Two team of the week Not sure how many times we've ran a story about Ryan Hall being selected for the npower Football League Two Team of the Week, but it's been a few times and he's made his first appearance in a selection for the eleven picked from the games played Saturday, September 3rd. Surprising that even after their much hyped comeback, that they've all got very excited about down Northampton way, there wasn't a Cobbler in the team, with big lump up front Adebayo Akinfenwa believing his side have turned the corner after five successive defeats was stopped at the weekend. Akinfenwa told www.northamptonchron.co.uk: “One game can change a season. We’re not going to go and get above ourselves, because it was a draw, but we had to stop the rot and we stopped that losing run. We’re going to take a lot of positives out of this game and take that in to the game with Torquay. If we can tighten up at the back - I think we’ll always score goals - it’ll give us a good platform to build upon and we can go and get three points rather than one. I did hear something about our team spirit isn’t there but we showed during the game and at the end of the game that we’re a together bunch. The gaffer’s built a whole new squad and we’re still trying to implement the gaffer’s ethos in to how we’re going to play, but there’s nothing wrong with our team spirit and we’re going the right way.” Blimey, it will all kick-off when they actually win a game, but all that effort was not enough to get a Cobbler in the side, talented wingman Ryan Hall, catch his cracking goal in the link below, and Bilel's wasn't bad as well, was the star man according to whoever picks these things. In the meantime keep up the optimisim, this is not only a good team but a decent squad that Luggy has put together here, we would have lost this game this time last year, two up or not.
