Shrimpers swoop for Jack

Former Trinidad and Tobago international goalkeeper Kelvin Jack has joined Southend on a non-contract basis.[LNB]The 33-year-old has been without a club since breaking his leg during a loan spell with Barnsley and has been training with the Shrimpers since the start of the season.[LNB]Jack, who has 33 international caps, will provide cover for Steve Mildenhall as Ian Joyce is set to leave Roots Hall next week.[LNB]The former Reading, Dundee United and Gillingham keeper will be with Southend until the end of the season and is included in the squad to face MK Dons on Saturday.[LNB][LNB]
