Blues striker Barry Corr cooly scored the first goal at Bradford last Friday and was even involved in setting up the second, and admits the lads are still getting to know each other. Barry Corr; a good singing voice it seems!BARRY Corr hit the right notes both on and off the pitch to help Southend United record their first league win of the season at Bradford City on Friday night. The Irish striker scored one and made another for Anthony Grant as Blues triumphed 2-0 at Valley Parade. And the victory came after four days of team bonding, which culminated in a singing session the night before the game. "We stayed up after the Wolves game and on the Thursday night every player had to sing a song," said Corr, 25. "There was plenty of banter going on but I did She's Electric by Oasis and everyone else had a go too. "Blair (Sturrock) was the best as he has a proper opera voice but the worst was Ryan Hall. "He actually did it the day of the game because he was that scared and ended up doing Barbie Girl which typifies his character. "It was great though and staying up like we did brought everyone together. "There are so many new players at the club and we didn't have a pre-season tour so this has been a great chance to get know each other better and I think it certainly helped our performance." The win, which was achieved despite a late red card to right-back Sean Clohessy, pushed Southend up to 14th in the League Two table. But Corr was always confident Blues would bounce back from a shaky start which had seen them take just one point from their opening three league games. "It was a very good performance and we knew we had this in us," said the forward. "No-one was panicking because we're good players and have a good team so we know we can definitely be up there and results like this show that."
