Shrimpers star suffers injury blow
The 34-year-old former Scotland striker came off during the interval of Southend's draw at Oldham on Saturday with a recurrence of the thigh injury that has restricted him to just 16 appearances this season.[LNB]"Dougie's thigh has tightened up again and that's why he had to come off," manager Steve Tilson told the Southend Echo.[LNB]"We're not sure just how bad it is at this stage."[LNB]The ex-Crystal Palace striker, who is 12 goals short of 200 in his career, has found the net five times for Southend this season and is halfway through a two-year contract at Roots Hall.[LNB][LNB]
