It's been confirmed that Southend skipper Craig Easton will take up his normal position in midfield against Macclesfield Town in Saturday's FA Cup First Round tie at Moss Rose. Easton:The Shrimpers will play their first round tie at Macclesfield Town with their skipper Craig Easton firmly in place playing in his usual position of midfield after his long lay-off with a calf injury.Very welcome considering Michael Timlin's return to parent club Swindon, who couldn't have been selected anyway so he wouldn't be cup-tied.Easton told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It's been a frustrating time for me and I can't wait to be back. I was out for longer than I thought because I aggravated the injury again but I'm back training now. Hopefully I won't suffer any kind of reaction and I will be fine for the weekend." Captian Craig's last game was the 2-1 defeat at Northampton Town back in September. However, he's continued working away in the gym. Easton continued: "I've been doing plenty of work with the physio and the fitness coach to keep me in shape. It's hard for the first couple of weeks and they're the most boring because you can't really do anything. But after that you can work on things and the aim is to come back even stronger." Welcome back Craig, his defensive strengths in front of the back four, with a possible rookie left back in the side, will be needed at the weekend on what will be a tough Cup tie.
