Blues midfielder Craig Easton wants his side to start turning cup performances into league points, starting with the tough trip to West Yorkshire and Bradford City Friday evening. Easton: 'It's a game we're looking forward to'BLUES captain Craig Easton has called on his side to start showing their Carling Cup form in the league. Southend saw off Bristol City in the opening round of the cup competition and also impressed on Tuesday night when running Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers close at Molineux. But, in the league, Blues have taken just one point from a possible nine. And Easton is keen to put that right, starting at Bradford City tonight. Easton told www.echo-news.co.uk: "We've shown what we can do in the cup competitions when we're up against better sides but now we need to go and do the same in the league. We know we're capable of it and although we were gutted to lose to the last kick of the game at Wolves there was plenty we could take from the game." That second round clash, which Blues lost 2-1, went to extra time but Bradford's cup clash with Preston North End also lasted 120 minutes and Easton is sure tiredness will not be a factor this evening. "We're fit enough to be able to cope with it, especially as they are in the same situation. By the time the game comes around we will be fine and it's one we're looking forward to. Bradford are a big club and they will be up there at the end of the season but it's a nice place to go because they get good crowds. It will be a real challenge for us but if we play like we did against Wolves then we have a great chance of picking up some points."
