Shrimpers poised to spend - King
The Shrimpers have yet to make a signing this summer but King has assured fans that there will be new faces before the start of League One.
"We are after players and there wouldn't be much point in being after players if there wasn't any money to spend," he told the official website.
"We've always back Tillly (manager Steve Tilson) and will continue to do so.
"He knows what areas he wants to sign players and I would be very surprised if nobody came in."
