Southend United have confirmed that three of the recent signings of Paul Sturrock will be unavailable for their third pre-season at Salisbury City Friday evening. Sturrock: 'Might be a case of having the opportunity to look at more trailists'For the return of Tommy Widdrington to Salisbury, their former boss and now the assistant at Roots Hall, the Shrimpers will be without a trio of the nine new pre-contract signings. Left back Peter Gilbert, winger Sofiene Zaaboub and striker Blair Sturrock will not be making the trip to Wiltshire Friday night.Sturrock told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Peter has injured his ankle and has a tight thigh, Zaaboub is carrying a groin strain and Blair has a thigh problem.
