Shrimpers hopeful over Morris

Southend manager Paul Sturrock could welcome back Glenn Morris from illness for the visit of Oxford. The goalkeeper has missed the last two games with flu and may return to the side. If Morris does fail to recover in time , Rhys Evans will continue to operate between the sticks. Sturrock will have to decide whether to recall top scorer Barry Corr or keep continue to operate with Bilel Mohsni as a make-shift striker. Corr came off the bench to score against Barnet on Saturday while defender Mohsni has scored three goals since being employed in a more attacking role. Scott Spencer is unavailable for selection after having his contract terminated last week. The Shrimpers will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games.
