Shrimpers discipline calls FA to send in the man in black!

It's all been fairly quiet since Bilel Mohsni got himself sent off against Gillingham, but that didn't stop a top match official having a chat with the lads before the weekend trip to Crewe!

Bilel's favourite colour, until he took up boxing!

A Premier League referee was reported to have been seen at Roots Hall Thursday to explain why they picked up their recent fines dished out by the Football Association!

He went through all the incidents to show them where they went wrond and not to do it again, the naughty boys.

There was the handbags incident in the second half of the Shrimpers 2-0 win over the Pilgrims at Roots Hall on Saturday, September 17th, which saw new Argyle interim manager Carl Fletcher being sent off, ending up with both League Two clubs have been charged by The FA with failing to control their players.

This followed ann earler charge back in August when Southend United and Port Vale were fined £1,000 by the FA after beating the Valiants 3-2 and let's face it, we got away with it a touch after Accrington!

The charges related to both sides failing to ensure players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, whatever that means, though I believe Mohsni was involved in some fashion!

Funny enough, since Bilel's last suspension for picking up a couple of yellows in twelve minutes against Gillingham on Tuesday, September 13th, where we won in the 87th minute without him and it kick-started the five game winning run which has seen the Shrimpers go top of the league and through to the regional last eight of the JPT, we've actually been behaving quite well.

There have been four yellow cards in the last four games, and three of them were in the Shrewsbury match a week ago with a poor match official, two of them going to Anthony Grant and Ryan Hall which saw them suspended for the game away to Rotherham which we won 4-0.

So it must have been a bit like returning to school and listening politely for teacher but on the whole Blues boss Paul Sturrock, who made it clear he was going to have a word with the squad himself, has been seen to be a pretty good headmaster over this particular matter.
