Shrimpers boss: We must push on

Brighton's Lloyd Owusu cancelled out Barnard's 23rd-minute opener on the stroke of half-time, only for late goals from Barnard and Theo Robinson to send the Seagulls crashing to their eighth defeat in their last 10 home league games. Barnard's two goals were his first for five months and his spectacular strike five minutes from time restored Southend's lead. "The goal was worthy of winning any game," said Tilson. "This was our seventh win in the last nine games and it's important that the lads keep it going. "We must push on; maintain our place in the top half of the table and then who knows. We're on a good run at the moment."
