Shrimpers boss coy over defender
The Shrimpers are yet to welcome any new arrivals to the club this summer but are hoping for positive news this week.
"There is one player we are waiting to hear back from at the moment and he's a defender," Tilson told the club's official website.
"He is someone who has played in the league before, but I don't want to say too much else about him because it could alert other clubs and that is not going to help us."
