Shrimpers and Brush part company
The Shrimpers are on a dismal run of form that has seen them drop into the relegation zone and after Saturday's defeat at Hartlepool they remain winless in 2010.[LNB]Manager Steve Tilson has escaped any blame, earning praise from chairman Ron Martin, but Brush has left Roots Hall with well over 12 months remaining on his contract.[LNB]A statement from Martin read: "It is urgent that we change things. Steve Tilson has attributes I wish to persevere with, but at this time we need to bring new energy, a fresh outlook, momentum and most importantly a positive approach to the on-field activities.[LNB]"The position has been discussed with Steve Tilson who will need to find a permanent replacement or may opt for someone to adopt an interim role until the right individual can be identified.[LNB]"This decision has been made to secure the best interests of the club and personally I wish to thank Paul Brush for his contribution over the years."[LNB][LNB]
