The Shrimpers faithful feared the worst when centre-back Bilel Moshni was stretched off during the second half of the defeat against Shrewsbury Town but the outcome could still be positive. No fracture for Bilel Mohsni, more on Monday! Many of the Roots Hall faithful felt the sight of influential defender Bilel Mohsni being stretched off midway through the second half of the 2-0 defeat to Shrewsbury Town Saturday afternoon could signal the end of the club's play-off hopes.Howver, the official site has reported that Mohsni had gone for an x-ray at a local hospital and he had not fractured his ankle.Of course he may still have damaged ligaments, Bilel looked in a lot of pain directly in front of the west stand where he pulled up and evenually collapsed to the ground, so could be out for many weeks, an MRI scan on Monday will determine that.Let's hope it might just mean a game or two out as we've seen what the French Tunisian has done to the side since he returned from a previous ankle injury a few games ago.Physio Ben Clarkson told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Bilel underwent an x-ray this evening which has shown no fracture. We will continue to monitor him and he will have an MRI scan on Monday to determine the full extent of his injury."Fingers and a few other things crossed!
