Saints sign a former Shrimper and Arsenal player

Ex-Blue midfielder Mbive `Peggy` Lokando has joined St. Albans City in the Blue Square South. Peggy drops down a tier to play for the SaintsBlue Square South club St Albans City have signed DR Congo international midfielder Mbive `Peggy` Lokando from Blue Square Premier side Crawley Town . Lokando started his career at Arsenal in the youth team before signing for Southend United in July 2007. He made his first appearance for Southend in the Carling Cup against Watford in August 2007. Lokando was loaned out to Dagenham & Redbridge in September 2008 but failed to make a League appearance and also had a trial with Oxford United. He was turning out for Leyton in the Ryman League Division One North before signing for Crawley in November 2009.
