Southend United winger Ryan Hall is starting to show the consistancy his manager has asked from him and what many of the Blues faithful believed was there from the start. Hall: 'I should definitely have scored before now'Of all the Sturrock summer signings wideboy Ryan Hall was the one here at S24 Towers that we were most excited about. The London born player had a discipline problem early on in his career, having been involved in some off-the-field activities that showed the boy had a temper, and he missed the season opener for his new club against Stockport under suspension carried over from his time with Bromley. However, at 23, we hoped he could put the past behind him and show the skills that he obviously had reading past reports, and what made former assistant boss Tommy Widdrington recommend him to manager Paul Sturrock.Ryan now has two successive man-of-the match awards from two different S24 contributors and his game in the shock win at Rotherham, he scored his first goal in a Southend shirt within 37 seconds at the Don Valley Stadium, a stunning volley, was easily his most impressive, he was just simply eveywhere. It must seem a long way from being released by Crystal Palace and finding himself in the Blue Square South! Hall told www.southendunited.co.uk: "I was playing non-league and I thought my chance may had gone. It was difficult because being a professional footballer is what I always wanted to be, so I kept my head down and worked hard while I was with Bromley hoping my chance would come. Thankfully Southend have given me that opportunity and I want to make the most of it."So how is Ryan Marcus Hall, who now must be one of the first names on Luggy's team shirt, the complete opposite of fellow wideman Louie Soares who continues to struggle, coping with life in League Two. He continued: "I found it hard to make the step up to start with it but I feel more at home now. It was also great to score against Rotherham and I just hope I can go on to get a few more because I should definitely have scored before now."The Hall FilesPersonal informationFull nameRyan Marcus L.
