Southend striker Alex Revell has left the club after Wycombe took over the remainder of his contract. Alex Revell: Will finally be released from his Southend contractRevell's 93-day emergency loan deal with the Chairboys comes to an end after their home game with Leyton Orient on Saturday, meaning the striker will be unable to play in their final match against Gillingham at Adams Park on 8th May.However, the 26-year-old will not rejoin the Shrimpers after an agreement was reached which ensured he will remain at Adams Park on a permanent deal from 3rd May until the end of June.Wycombe's club secretary Keith Allen told Wanderers' official website: "It (the loan deal) cannot be extended. "However, as part of the agreement with Southend and the player, Alex will join the club on a permanent contract on Monday 3rd of May until Wednesday 30th June 2010. But with the registration deadline having passed, he will be unable to play for the club again this season. Everybody knew the situation when he signed in January and everybody knew he wasn't going to be able to play on the final day."
