Blues centre-half Mark Phillips returned for Blues Two's after injury against Ipswich Town Tuesday and completed the full game. He now wants a return to first team action. Phillips: 'I'm ready for the first team now if I'm needed'Both injured centre-backs Luke Prosser and Mark Phillips returned to full match action with 90 minutes against Roy Keane's Tractor Boys Tuesday at Roots Hall.Though defences didn't have much to shout about in an exciting 3-3 draw, the former Brentford captain Phillips, who had been out with a hamstring problem, is still hoping he did enough to catch Luggy's eye and oust his reserve team boss Graham Coughlan for a Shrimpers return against Crewe this weekend.Phillips told www.southendunited.co.uk: "There's been no reaction which is good news and I'm ready for the first team now if I'm needed. This was my first 90 minutes in around two months and there are parts of the game I know I need to work on. But I can do that in training and be OK for the game with Crewe if the manager needs me." Mark has endured a frustrating time missing the last 10 games in all and can't wait to be part of the first team squad again. Phillips concluded: "It wasn't nice being out injured so it's brilliant to be back now. I was out for longer than expected because I suffered a slight setback when I was trying to push myself too hard but I'm over that now and everything is OK."
