As another Saturday passes by without footy at Roots Hall spare a thought for Blues left back Peter Gilbert, his suspension goes on for at least a further week! Peter Gilbert trains with himself, something he must be getting used to!I don't believe left-back Peter Gilbert was wishing for such a white Christmas.His red card against Stevenage and subsequent three-match ban must seem a long, long time ago as the various call-offs will now mean he misses Barnet at Roots Hall on the Boxing Day afternoon as the final game of his suspension. The game at the delightfully named Lamex Stadium took place on Tuesday, November 23rd, so if he's able to take his place in the side at Crewe on December 28th it will be well over a month since he saw some match action. Let's hope the weather relents.
