Blues boss Paul Sturrock believes his side are 'one striker short at the moment', and another loan deal is on the cards before the closure of the August transfer window. Sturrock: 'I'll work with the strikers who have shown some decent form'The Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock is still on the lookout for another striker making sure that Blair, Barry, Matt and Scotty all keep on their toes.Luggy told www.southendunited.co.uk: "We need a different type of forward than we have at this moment of time. I won't be panicking and signing a striker just for the sake of into appease anybody. I want the right striker and if that takes a bit more time it takes a bit more time."The trouble with these Scots is they just always hold back.Anyway, no one has started panicking yet Luggs old son, but it certainly seemed we were short of ideas in the last third at Aldershot, however giving Matt Paterson a start just might be the missing link you're looking for, he certainly should be above Sturrock jnr. in the pecking order.Paul, to be fair, did suggest he would look again at what he's already got at Roots Hall.Luggy said: "I'll continue to work with the ones I have who have shown some decent form all since the start of the season. I hope that they perform so well all season I won't be bringing any strikers in."Paters to start gainst Port Vale then, maybe!
