Blues left-winger Sofiene Zaaboub is back with boss Paul Sturrock at the Shrimpers and after being without a club last season can't wait to get going. Zaaboub took 24 hours to leave France to become a Shrimper under SturrockExciting left-winger Sofiene Zaaboub has is another of manager Paul Sturrock's old players to sign a one year pre-contract agreement and didn't waste any time finding where Roots Hall was on the map! Sofiene told www.echo-news.co.uk: "As soon as I spoke to the gaffer I knew I wanted to be at Southend. We had a good year and a half together at Swindon which went well so after speaking to him on the phone I got on the Eurostar the very next day to come over and sign. I'm very happy to be here because we have a very good manager who I enjoy playing for." Sadly, Sofiene has only played once as a Shrimper, the 2-0 defeat at Dartford, and to add insult to injury, he picked up with a groin injury and has not been seen again!The French born player winger: "My groin tightened up after the game which is frustrating because this is an important time of the year.
