No worries for Shrimpers

Southend boss Paul Sturrock has no new injury worries ahead of Friday's trip to Bradford. However, Sturrock will be grateful to have a fully fit squad at his disposal should changes need to be made following Tuesday night's gruelling 2-1 extra-time defeat to Wolves in the Carling Cup. Bilel Mohsni made his first start for the Blues as Richard Stearman broke their hearts with an extra-time injury-time winner, and the centre back is set to retain his place. Peter Gilbert joined Mohsni in the Shrimpers defence on Tuesday night, completing the full 120 minutes on his return from an ankle injury, and he is in line for further involvement against the Bantams. Sturrock will hope his side's spirited midweek display against Premier League opposition will improve their form in League Two, where they have taken a solitary point from three outings this term.
