No news on leaving Shrimpers: 'Meetings took place between the manager and players on Thursday'

Southend United coach Graham Coughlan had plenty to say about the game and the referee after the Burton Albion draw Saturday afternoon, but not about the players asked to leave Roots Hall! Coughlan: 'The referee could have shown some common sense' So who has no future at Roots Hall next season?Sadly, S24 can't tell you, though we have some idea. For now though we have to wait for a player to spill the beans as player-coach Graham Coughlan, in for a new title himself we believe, is not telling!Coughlan told www.echo-news.co.uk: "Meetings took place between the manager and players on Thursday but I don't think it's right for me to say at this stage who is going. It's up to the players if they want to come out and say but they have been a pleasure to work with this season. And just because it hasn't worked out for them at Southend it doesn't mean it won't work out elsewhere for them and I wish them all the very best for their futures." As for the 1-1 draw with Burton Albion in the final home game of the season Graham has already passed on his comments about the actual 90 minutes, he wasn't impressed, but did have a few kind words for match official Robert Madley.Coughlan said: "There was only two minutes to go in an end of season game and the referee could have shown some common sense. But we haven't had common sense all season so I don't know why we suddenly expect to get it in game 45. It was harsh and we also felt we could've had a penalty when Darren Moore brought down Barry when he was trying to reach another corner. If that had been given it could have been a different story but we needed to play with more tempo and urgency if we wanted to win the game." Let's hope we see some of it at Wycombe next weekend, always fun to spoil a promotion party if we're not involved! Our thoughts on who is going and who is dead meat:www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/decision_day_i_know_who_is_going_and_who_is_staying_and_what_areas_i_need_to_sign_players_in_672834/index.shtmlBoth Graham and Pesch have their say after the game:www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/coughlan_took_our_foot_off_the_pedal_peschisolido_im_relieved_played_27_games_in_3_months_674152/index.shtmlMaybe the player/coach should get you're vote for the S24 player-of-the-season; www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/interactive/voting_polls.asp
