New-boy Jarvis in squad
New Southend loan signing Nathaniel Jarvis will go straight into the squad for the trip to Hereford.
The 18-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for parent club Cardiff but finished last season as top scorer for the Under-18 side.
But boss Paul Sturrock will again be without skipper Craig Easton, who is set to miss the next two weeks with a calf injury.
Mark Phillips and Sofiene Zaaboub are also unavailable but they are expected to return to training on Monday as they bid to regain full fitness.
Matt Patterson and Scott Spencer are pushing for starts with Sturrock's son Blair possibly making way, while Rhys Evans and Adam Bouzid hope to be in contention.
