Moshni apology: 'I know I made a mistake'

Bradford City, Oldham Athletic: Southend United's temperamental star Bilel Mohsni is not everyone's favourite Shrimper at the moment, but he has now said sorry!

Back page of Thursday's Echo; speaks volumes!

Bilel, Bilel, what do you do with him?

The Shrimpers faithful seem to be in forgiving mood, well it is Christmas, and 48 hours after the Oldham cup replay defeat the early voting in our poll is 60% in favour of him staying.

Echoman Chris Phillips has been at today's training and been posting the feedback, and after a flurry of tweets from the players they have now insited to the media that they will make no further comments on the matter.

However, the man himself has.

Mohsni told the paper: "I want to apologise to the fans, chairman and manager. I know I made a mistake but it wasn't on purpose."

The full message will be in Friday's paper, and we will post it up as soon as we see it.

He does include his team mates in the apology it seems, but is it enough?

'It wasn't on purpose' seems a bit odd, blimey, what would have happened if he'd meant it!

Phillips went on to add: 'Bilel will be disciplined and an in house debate about his future will take place. Expected at training today (Thursday) too.'

That will be interesting.
