Mohsni injury boost for Shrimpers
Southend defender Bilel Mohsni doesn't require surgery on his damaged ankle.
Mohsni suffered the injury during the Shrimpers 2-0 win over Cheltenham and looked like the defender could be out for some time but scans have shown he doesn't require an operation and will start his rehabilitation work in order to return to full fitness.
On-loan Peterborough midfielder Josh Simpson also picked up a knock at Whaddon Road and manager Paul Sturrock is hopeful he will return to action before the end of the month.
