Mohsni: 'If I can keep coming on to score then that's fine by me'

Crewe Alexandra, Morecambe FC: Southend United centre-back Bilel Mohsni only needed three minutes to come on as a sub against Crewe Alexandra and along with the 'crossing machine' Ryan Hall turned the game on it's head, or with his!

Mohsni: 'I still think my role will be as a substitute for a while'   The new mature boxing supremo Bilel Mohsni is just what the doctor ordered, or certainly Blues boss Paul Sturrock!   His oustanding display in the last six minutes, along with winger Ryan Hall who came on , when they came on as substitutes in the second half of the 3-1 away win at Crewe which saw the Shrimpers skip back over Crawley Town at the top of the league, sent out to other teams aiming for promotion, this squad has to be taken very seriously indeed.   However, for all the Frenchman's efforts that turned the match in the Essex boy's favour, he expects to remain on 'splinter city' for the next game against sixth placed Morecambe on Saturday at Roots Hall, where tickets are still on sale at a fiver!   Mohsni told www.echo-news.co.uk: "It was nice to score two goals to help us win but I still think my role will be as a substitute for a while. I’m a centre back and Mark Phillips and Chris Barker are playing well at the moment and so is the team, so I think I will have to wait. But if I can keep coming on to score then that’s fine by me especially if it keeps us top of the league because it is great to be there at the moment."   It certainly is!   The S24 Report: www.southendunited-mad.co.uk    A local view: www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk    Post match views from Luggy and Dario: www.southendunited-mad.co.uk    Another super sub story from the past: www.southendunited-mad.co.uk    A fiver for the Shrimps, fair for all; have a vote:  www.southendunited-mad.co.uk
