Mohsni: 'I hope I can start to play more regularly again'

06 September 2011 14:11
Southend United defender come striker Bilel Mohsni returned to the starting line-up to crack home a stunner against Northampton Town, and wants to follow it up with another in the next game! Mohsni: 'We want to put it right against Swindon'   As a strict Muslim Bilel Mohsni observed Ramadan over August and did lead Blues boss Paul Sturrock to be concerened about his energy levels, but not any more, see Saturday's all-action display against Northampton for that, which he capped off with a 35-yard screamer which you can catch on the link below, Ryan's wasn't bad as well!   Mohsni told www.echo-news.co.uk: “Ramadan isn’t as hard as people would think but I will have more energy now I think. It was harder to not be able to have a drink than not being able to eat at times, especially during the games and training. It has finished now though and I hope I can start to play more regularly again.”   Anyway, for now, all Bilel wants to be is picked again for the starting eleven against Swindon Town in the League Two clash at the County Ground this Saturday.   Mohsni said: “I want to play again because we were all so frustrated after drawing against Northampton. We want to put it right against Swindon and I want to be involved in that.”   So do we, but for how long after that?   Bilel has been known to operate on a short fuse and is already close to yet another suspension! Liam Dickinson will not be available until Plymouth at home on Saturday, September 17th, and who knows how much more time Barry Corr and Neil Harris will need to get over their respective injuries, we need the Frenchman around for a tiny bit longer yet!   And with accusations flying about that Robins boss Paolo Di Canio has already trained his team in the dark arts Bilel will most certainly be a traget at the weekend.   The Mohsni Files   Personal information Date of birth 21 July 1987 (1987-07-21) (age 24) Place of birth Paris, France Height 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) Playing position Centre back / centre forward Club information Current club Southend United Number 6 Senior career* Years Team Apps† (Gls)†   CO Les Ulis ?
