Mixed emotions for Shrimpers boss
Tilson, who started his own playing career with Witham during the late 1980's, was pleased to see his side come out on top but frustrated to have twice let the hosts hit the back of the net.
"It was a little bit disappointing to let them score twice but overall I'm happy again with how things went," he told the Echo.
"It was quite a difficult surface to have to play on but the lads coped well and put together some good moves.
"We didn't get any injuries which is a massive plus and scoring five goals was obviously nice as well."
