The experienced stopper missed the Boxing Day defeat by Colchester with a back complaint and boss Steve Tilson has confirmed he will not be available for the Brisbane Road encounter.[LNB]Number two Ian Joyce made his first appearance of the season against United at Roots Hall and he will again be handed a chance.[LNB]Tilson was able to name Scott Malone in his side after they agreed to extend the loan deal of the Wolves defender and he will again be in the starting line-up.[LNB]Veteran striker Dougie Freedman is pushing for a recall in attack as the Shrimpers aim to end a run of five consecutive away defeats but Tilson knows it will not be easy.[LNB]"We now have a local derby, but they are all tough games and it will be no different there," he told the club's official website.[LNB]Meanwhile, Tilson felt his side should have taken something from their 2-1 loss to Colchester at Roots Hall on Saturday.[LNB]Second-half goals from Phil Ifil and Anthony Wordsworth put the Us in control but Lee Barnard pulled one back to set up a grandstand finish.[LNB]However, Colchester held on to secure victory.[LNB]"I felt we were comfortable in the first half but then we went one down after a minute, which was a killer, and the second goal really deflated us," Tilson said.[LNB]"It was only when Barney (Barnard) scored that we lifted ourselves and created a few good chances. I felt we just shot ourselves in the foot.[LNB]"To be fair, we did not deserve that. They came for a point, there's no doubt about that. It was another game where we should have got something out of it."[LNB][LNB]
