According to the Echo Southend United are close to agreeing the full time transfer for loanee midfielder Michael Timlin from League Two rivals Swindon Town.
Timlin: A full-time Shrimper at last
The Shrimpers have made their third signing of the week when serial loanee from Swindon Town Michael Timlin finally joined Southend on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
Timmo has agreed to an 18-month deal and will be available to play against Port Vale on Saturday afternoon at Roots Hall.
The central midfielder has spent the last six months on loan from the county ground, his third spell with the Blues.
This time around he's turned out 22 times and has scored three goals.
And he can turn out against his former club when we take them on for the third time this season in the League Two clash on Saturday, January 28th in south--east Essex having previously lost the last two, when Timmo wasn't available!
