Southend United defender Luke Prosser has joined Blue Square Premier side Rushden and Diamonds on loan for three months. Luke Prosser: off to Irthlingborough, hope he can find it, let alone say it Let's face it, centre-back Luke Prosser, who joined the Shrimpers at the start of the season after being released by League Two rivals Port Vale, hasn't been one of Blues boss Paul Sturrock's greatest signings. Think back to that 3-1 home defeat by the lad's former club last August. I suppose when you bring in 17 players one or two, or six or seven, are going to dodgy, and this can only do young Luke some good. He turned out 13 times for Southend, but with Mark Phillips returning from injury and Graham Coughlan continuing to perform well in Bilel Mohsni's absence Prosser would have been spending a lot of time warming the bench.Luke has been drafted straight into former Blues full-back Justin Edinburgh squad for their Conference game against Altrincham on Saturday at Nene Park.If all goes well, the present loan period of three months could well be more permanent as Luggy looks for a more experienced replacement.Best of luck Luke.8Grimsby Town 2254221124432116985422835+149Mansfield Town 245242116526212110410423734+510Rushden & Diamonds 2361417113451318959302932+111Darlington 226231471731112796251930+612Cambridge United 2455325152451016798353130+413Bath City 2436218174361623798344030-6The Prosser FilesPersonal informationFull nameLuke Barrie Prosser[1]Date of birth28 May 1988 (1988-05-28) (age 22)Place of birthEnfield, London, EnglandHeight6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)Playing positionDefenderClub informationCurrent clubRushden & Diamonds (on loan from Southend United)Youth career2004-2005Tottenham HotspurSenior career*YearsTeamApps†(Gls)†2005-2010Port Vale33(1)2008→ Leigh RMI (loan)7(0)2009→ Salisbury City (loan)12(0)2010→ Kidderminster Harriers (loan)9(0)2010-Southend United9(0)2011→ Rushden & Diamonds (loan)0(0)* Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of 00:00, 18 April 2010 (UTC).† Appearances (Goals).(Player info supplied by Wikipedia, for full player info, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Prosser)Let's face it, centre-back Luke Prosser, who joined the Shrimpers at the start of the season after being released by League Two rivals Port Vale, hasn't been one of Blues boss Paul Sturrock's greatest signings.
