Plymouth Argyle 0. Southend United manager Paul Sturrock and a selection of players lined up to have their say after the 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Roots Hall Saturday afternoon.   A happy Luggy: 'We were poor in the first half but got there in the end'   Echoman Chris Phillips grabbed some decent quotes from Blues boss Paul Sturrock and the goalscorers after the game, but a sever you couldn't keep centre-back Mark Phillips quiet for long, i mean he didn't score! (But there was a reason!)     CP tweeted: 'Sturrock felt poor first half was down to the fact that the Gillingham game took a lot out of the team. Gave them a "blast" at half time.'   Quite right too, it was pretty awful!   However Luggy added: 'We were poor in the first half but got there in the end. Will need to play better against more dangerous teams.'   The scoring was opened by a Dickinson penalty which rather annoyed the Pilgrims travelling faithful, well done them, but a she never actually put pen to paper not sure what they were whinging about!   Dickinson had his own say on the subject: 'It was great to score. Some of their fans were calling me Judas but I don't know why coz Plymouth cancelled my contract.'   As for left-back Peter Gilbert who grabbed his first goal in eight years from yet another Ryan Hall corner........   Gilbert: 'The routine worked well and it was nice to get a goal again at last. Great to get clean sheet too and another win.'   Good stuff, so what about goal machine Phillips, who failed to get on the score sheet, but why?     He himself explained: 'They had 2 men on me and cleared off the line twice....gutted.'   The bastards!   However, on a more serious note: 'Gutted not to have scored today but good 3 points.....some work needed. Still feel once it all comes together we will be a very good team.'   We can only believe that's turns out to be true, but we're take sixth place for now.
