Luggy looks to attack: 'We need to use the defeat as a kick up the backside'

Cheltenham Town: Southend United manager Paul Sturrock has told his players to put Tuesday's JPT defeat against Swindon behind them before they face third placed Cheltenham Town in League Two at the weekend.

Sturrock: 'We need to get back on track as quickly as we can again'

Blues boss Paul Sturrock saw his side surrender their great 17-match unbeaten record Tuesday evening at Roots Hall to one set of Robins, and wants to make sure his sqaud are not feeling too sorry for themselves so they start another run going when they face the Gloucester version at Whaddon Road on Saturday afternoon

Sturrock told www.echo-news.co.uk: “The lads were all very despondent after the Swindon game because they wanted to get to Wembley but we need to get back on track as quickly as we can again. We need to use the defeat as a kick up the backside to gee us up again and we certainly can’t afford to feel sorry for ourselves. If we do that then this could be a really bad week for us. But with Cheltenham being third in the table, Saturday's game is very important and it will also be very difficult as well.”
