Luggy likes Southend air after rejecting any talk of Torquay United move

Southend United manager Paul Sturrock has talked down media links of a move to the managerless Gulls next season. Sturrock: 'Rumour-mongering is something the papers do very well'   Blues boss Paul Sturrock took over at Roots Hall last summer and led the club to a 13th-placed finish in his first season in charge, not bad when he hardly started with any players! But the departure of Paul Buckle at League Two rivals Torquay United to Bristol Rovers, and Luggy's obvious links to the Devon area following his two previous spells at Plymouth have set the tounges wagging. However, Sturrock told BBC Essex: "Two and two get put together and make five, rumour-mongering is something the papers do very welI. I came here to put a team together and structure a football club. I haven't put the team together as I would like it and that's something I want to do this season." And that should be the end of that.
