Cheltenham Town; Southend United were left reeling after their Wembley dreams were dashed by League Two rivals Swindon Town, who also ended the the Essex boys 17-match unbeaten run.

Sturrock: 'Get their heads up for what is a very big game against Cheltenham'

Son of Luggy Blair Sturrock handed the Shrimpers the lead in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern section semi-final against Swindon, only to see Paul Caddis and Ronan Murray inflict United's first defeat of any kind since mid-September, against Swindon!

Blues boss Paul Sturrock told the PA after the game: "After going 1-0 up, we dropped a couple of gears and dropped off and we paid the price for that. Football is a strange old game of highs and lows and there have been times during this run we have been on where we have won games we should not have. The players were down after the game and we need to gee them up for the weekend and get their heads up for what is a very big game against Cheltenham."

Keep repeating to yourself; 'We are top of the league, we are top of the league', until Saturday at around 16.50 at least!
