Loanees back for Sturrock

Southend manager Paul Sturrock has selection issues ahead of his side's trip to Bury. Sofienne Zaaboub is struggling with a groin problem while centre-back Bilel Mohsni serves the last of his three-match suspension and is unavailable. The good news for Sturrock is that his son Blair could be fit after returning to training while fellow striker Barry Corr may also feature if he can shake off a knock. If both players do fail late fitness tests, on-loan striker Waide Fairhurst will continue to lead the line. On-loan Josh Simpson and Mark Phillips have both shaken off flu and are available. Michael Timlin has extended his loan from Swindon and will continue to play in central midfield while Craig Easton is on the comeback trail after returning to light training following a calf injury.
