Let me stay just a little bit longer says son of Luggy

Cheltenham Town, Oldham Athletic. Shrimpers striker Blair Sturroick grabbed his first goal in the JPT regional semi-final defeat to Swindon Tuesday, and hopes he's done enough to make sure Dad keeps him in the starting eleven for the weekend's tough trip.

Sturrock Jnr: 'The league has been the key for us all season'

After losing their long unbetaen record in midweek, the Shrimpers couldn't face a more difficult test outside Crawley to try and start another one going!

Third placed Cheltenham await and have only lost twice in the last 14 games, on the back of four successive wins, the two defeats being at Whaddon Road though, a good omen?

As for Blair, having scored his opening goal of the campaign against the other Robins he hopes he's done enough to convince the old man to give him another start against the Gloucester ones.

Sturrock told www.echo-news.co.uk: “Hopefully I can stay in the team but we'll have to wait and see. The league has been the key for us all season and that means Saturday is a really important game. The cup matches you want to do well in when they come along but it's the league that matters more than anything else.”

Personally, it's back to the bench for me but we will see soon enough.
