The Frenchman was stretchered off in the 2-2 draw with Huddersfield at the weekend with an ankle injury. Laurent was taken to hospital following a challenge from Terriers defender Andy Butler but scans revealed the 23-year-old had not sustained a fracture. The Shrimpers are waiting to discover if Laurent has suffered ligament damage and it is not yet known how long he will be sidelined. James Walker, Alex Revell and Dougie Freedman are all in contention to replace Laurent in the starting line-up. There is better news on loanees Matt Heath, John White and Jean-Yves M'Voto, who have all been given permission to face the Robins by their parent clubs.
