Inconsistency worries Sturrock

Southend boss Paul Sturrock warned his side they must improve their home form despite watching them beat managerless Lincoln 1-0. Barry Corr scored the only goal of the game after just three minutes but Lincoln had their chances and could quite easily have left Roots Hall with at least a point. Despite his side picking up all three points, Sturrock was far from happy with the performance. He said: "It was a horrible win but it was still a win. But the biggest problem we have is our home form has been so erratic - it's all fits and starts. "I'm trying to get to the bottom of that and have watched tape after tape and thought it might be fitness or their mental approach. Hopefully the players will give me their opinions and we can settle it in their minds. "It was a clean sheet at home but we must get to the bottom of our inconsistency because better teams will punish us."
